Albany Park Neighborhood Council (APNC)
The Albany Park Neighborhood Council (APNC) is a grassroots community organization that unites youth and adults from Albany Park and surrounding communities to address issues of social, economic, and racial justice. Since its founding in 2000, APNC has engaged over 10,000 community residents in its organizing efforts to improve the quality of public education, preserve affordable housing, increase access to affordable and quality health care, promote the rights of the undocumented, and increase youth employment through programming opportunities for young people. We are honoring APNC for being an incredible partner and collaborator over the past year on key building and policy victories such as the Keep Chicago Renting Ordinance. Albany Park Neighborhood Council’s continuous belief in the necessity and possibility of the KCRO, drove the coalition efforts and was critical to its success.
