LCBH welcomes 2024 summer interns

May 20, 2024

Help us welcome our 2024 summer interns! We can’t wait to see everything they’ll accomplish for Chicago’s renters as they tackle legal issues in and outside of eviction court through eviction defense, sealing, conditions issues, and Rentervention. Meet our fabulous five and learn what they’re most excited about

Brynna Collins – Loyola University School of Law

“I am looking forward to getting to learn more about housing law in Chicago and being able to develop my advocacy skills through my 711 license!”

Trevor Donna – Wheaton College

“This summer I am really looking forward to seeing firsthand what a career in public interest law looks like. I am excited to learn more about how legal aid organizations help shape communities and help out in any way I can.”

BJ Huls – Chicago-Kent College of Law

“I am looking forward to contributing to LCBH’s mission to improve housing stability. My experience in Software Development will hopefully be an asset to Rentervention’s implementation of AI and increase access to justice in the area.”

Shaza Hussein – University of Illinois Law at Urbana/Champaign

“This summer, I am eager to explore how tenant rights intersect with AI through my involvement in Rentervention. This exciting opportunity will allow me to explore how technology can empower renters to navigate and assert their rights more effectively. I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to this exciting field!”

Mehreen Tariq – Loyola University Chicago School of Law

“This summer, I am looking forward to refining my litigation skills and getting up in the courtroom with my 711 license!”
